  • How deep are the dives in Roatán?

    Because of its proximity to the reef, dives can take place in just a few feet of water or down to 33m (110 feet) and more. There are plenty of shallow reef dives available for novice divers, but there's also a wide array of sites geared toward advanced divers.


  • What is diving in Roatán like?

    Roatán is a diver's paradise and offers wall dives, shipwrecks, shallow corals, macro marine life (seahorses are a must) and some giants of the ocean, like the incredible whale shark. It is very versatile for divers since the dive sites are just a few minutes from the coast and there are plenty to choose from.

  • Are there Whale Sharks in Roatán?

    Roatán and the Bay Islands are one of the few places in the world where visitors are able to see whale sharks year-round. They are protected by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources and the CITIES Agreement.

  • Do I need to bring my Scuba Certification?

    Yes, you do need your Scuba Certification to dive in Roatán.
